MR
Medium Rigid truck
Rigid trucks over 8 tonnes with two axles, towing up to 9 tonnes. Four hours of training plus the truck for your test.

Heavy Rigid truck
Rigid trucks with more than two axles, plus articulated buses. The usual step up for civil, waste and delivery work.

Heavy Combination
Any truck over 8 tonnes towing a trailer over 9 tonnes, so semi trailers and truck and dog. Six hours of training plus the vehicle for your test.

Hold an open manual car licence already? Your new MR, HR, HC or MC licence carries a B condition, so you can drive everything in that class except a double clutch Road Ranger gearbox.

Book the first lesson
Car lessons can start from your home in Logan. Truck training starts from the Crestmead base with the vehicle you will be assessed in.
Train until you are actually ready
You get an honest read after every session. No padding the hours, no pushing you into a test you are not going to pass.
Sit the test in our vehicle
We hold the booking, present the vehicle, and take you through the route beforehand so nothing on the day is a surprise.
Who teaches you
Akbar Ali. Mechanic first, instructor since 2009.
Fifteen years under trucks as a general mechanic before he ever sat in the instructor seat. That is why the lessons cover what the vehicle is doing, not only what the examiner wants to see.
He teaches more than 400 students a year across car, HR and MC, with a 100% referral rate from past students.

Do I need my own car for the driving test?
No. Our lesson and test package includes a dual control car for the test itself, fully insured and presented to Department of Transport standards. If you would rather use your own car, we still run the lesson beforehand.
What is the B condition on a truck licence?
If you already hold an open manual car licence, a new MR, HR, HC or MC licence is issued with a B condition. You can drive every vehicle in that class except one with a double clutch gearbox, also known as a Road Ranger.
Is the $70 booking fee included?
Every truck package total already includes it. Car lesson and test packages do not, so add $70 at checkout for the Department of Transport booking.
Do you pick up from home?
Yes, for car lessons. Nearby suburbs add $25 and further out adds $50. Truck training starts from the Crestmead base.
How many lessons will I need?
It depends on how much supervised practice you already have. Most learners book a first lesson, then we give you an honest assessment of what is left before you are test ready.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or card on the day. Truck packages take a deposit at booking so the vehicle and test slot are held for you.
